The Music Studio Helps Raise Money for the Homeless
March 23, 2015

On Sunday, March 8, two pianists from The Music Studio, as well as The Music Studio Kids Orffchestra, participated in “Voices of Hope,” an annual benefit concert at First United Methodist Church in Delmar. On solo piano were Jesse Cohen-Greenberg, who played Beethoven’s Sonata in G Major, Opus 14 no. 2, and Matthew Maguire, who played Schubert’s Ave Maria. The Music Studio Kids Orffchestra–a performance troupe of private piano students playing instruments developed by composer Carl Orff–played six impressive and complex compositions on xylophones, glockenspiels, and the like. The concert as a whole raised almost $4,000 to support the summer programs of the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless.
