The Beat Goes On at The Music Studio's Final Show

The Music Studio’s end-of-year show on June 21 was a toe-tapping extravaganza in celebration of that most fundamental of musical elements: rhythm. “The Beat Goes On” featured The Music Studio Kids (the school’s performing troupe), all 30 students graduating from the Foundation Program, and Music Studio alumni Matt Maguire (on piano), Heather Ferlo (singing an aria), and Gabi Bazinet (tap dancing). Master of Ceremonies was piano virtuoso Donald Sosin, who also performed along with drummer extraordinaire Mark Foster. The grand finale of this final show belonged to Otha Day, who, with The Music Studio Kids to back him up, managed to get the whole audience slapping their knees and stomping their feet in time. It was a tremendous–thunderous–end to a wonderful school year.
