The Music Studio

On May 29, high school senior and longtime Music Studio student Matthew Maguire thrilled a packed recital hall at the University at Albany with a solo recital. Friends, family, and music lovers in attendance were richly rewarded by beautiful and impressive performances of Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelssohn, and more. In addition to playing, Matt took the opportunity to thank his teachers at The Music Studio: Shirley Myers, Noel Liberty, and, for the last several years, Joseph Fennimore. Music Studio founder and director Noel Liberty briefly took the stage also in order to wish Matt well in his future endeavors. He plans to attend Bowdoin College in the fall, where he will major in music and pre-med.
