The Music Studio

Gulnora Martin is a classically trained pianist from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She came to New York City at the age of fifteen and became a student at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division under Professor Oxana Yablonskaya. She has spent three rigorous years studying with Prof. Yablonskaya and won numerous competitions under her supervision. Mrs. Martin received her bachelor of music in Piano Performance at SUNY Purchase College, where she studied under Professor Paul Ostrovsky, who was a student of a renowned pianist Emil Gilels. She was thrilled to have been chosen as the winner of the Purchase College Concerto Competition during her sophomore year, and performed with the Purchase College Orchestra.

While studying at Purchase College, she became an eager educator and was inspired to continue pursuing a teaching career. She began studying Music Education at CUNY Lehman College and received her Master’s Degree in 2017.

In addition to teaching at The Music Studio, Mrs. Martin is a music teacher at Pine Hills Elementary School and Delaware Community School at Albany CSD.
